is a new, independent, not-for-profit language acquisition and activity centre, dedicated to the promotion of the Irish language through honest research and review, the results of which direct our actions. We channel any surplus funds into vital projects according to the needs of this ongoing research. Our base location on the northwest coast is in an area where Irish is the first language for many people. We include various outdoor activities in your programme, ensuring an enjoyable stay and a stressfree and effective journey to a command of the Irish language as well as full participation in our culture.
At Nead na Fuiseoige you will meet people of all ages, but especially you will meet young people, as our emphasis is strongly on the future. Integral to our activity days is an ethos of respect for other languages and their communities, especially the communities of threatened languages. For this reason and to ensure the internal motivation necessary to acquire any language, the use of any other language but Irish will be restricted to certain places and subject to other guidelines which you will be asked to respect.
